Leah Hebert
Executive Director
Leah founded GRACE in 2017 after accepting God’s grace and using her newfound freedom to help free others. After overcoming her own history of child exploitation, Leah went on to receive her Masters of Business Administration with a certification in Nonprofit Management. Leah has served on the board of the National Association of Missing and Exploited Children (NAMEC) and volunteered as a victim advocate for Saved In America. Leah has dedicated her life to preventing at-risk youth from becoming trafficked along with assisting survivors in breaking the trafficking chain to discover their worth, restore their lives and become thriving members of society.

Lauren Lowney
Program Coordinator
In 2014, Lauren went on a mission trip to Thailand where she saw sex- trafficking firsthand. She came back home knowing she needed to do something to start fighting against such injustice. Lauren has a BA in Psychology at Azusa Pacific University and is currently getting her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in trauma. She has spent the last five years taking trauma-informed classes to acquire tools to help those who have gone through severe traumatic experiences, as well as help others, become more trauma-informed.

Lexi Johnson
Systems Navigator
Lexi is the go-to gal for all client resources and works at GRACE as the Systems Navigator. Lexi attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate studies and majored in Political Science. While in college, Lexi enlisted in the United States Army and served for 10 years. Her specialty included domestic terrorism and served on specialized task forces in the D.C. and Los Angeles area. After separating from the Army, Lexi started working with a non-profit here in San Diego that worked with trafficked and exploited youth.While working with her clients, Lexi fell in love with Social Work and is currently on her journey to become a LCSW. She is honored to be part of the GRACE team and is excited to contribute her expertise and skills when it comes to directly serving clients, as well as her teammates.

Alexandra Stephenson
Assistant Director
Alex is a graduate of the University of California, Merced, with a BS in Business Management and minor in art. Alex has over 7 years working in non-profit leadership, communications, and expanding victim services. Alex currently oversees the “GRACE University: Journey to Independence” program which encourages the youth to rise above their circumstances, pursue higher education & new careers while also developing both their professional and emotional growth. She is passionate about connecting with the youth and helping them to dream bigger than they have ever imagined!

Stephanie Madrigal
Program Assistant
Stephanie is passionate about GRACE because she loves helping the girls to accomplish their girls and wish there were more programs like this when she was young. She previously has experience in healthcare and is excited to help girls at GRACE with their career goals.
