GRACE 2026 Summer Review!

Our 2026 Summer Adventures!

GRACE Summer adventures have brought smiles and memories to the faces of so many youth in our program and in San Diego Youth Services’ program. This summer we’ve been able to invite 20 girls and their children to join us on field trips, and have supported safe transpiration, meals, and activities for all of our youth attending!

Our first field trip was the Del Mar Fair, where our youth were able to spend time together, pick their own fair meal, and use GRACE sponsored tickets to play games or ride roller coasters. Most of the survivors in our program with children sought out child care and were able to be refreshed by an evening making memories for just themselves. Sharing positive experiences is healing.

Our second field trip was in partnership with Christian Surfers! This nation-wide program has a San Diego chapter that invited our youth to come and learn to surf in North County! They provided a female instructor for each of our youth, and we all hung out at the beach, surfed and enjoyed a meal.

But summer isn’t over yet!

One of our amazing partner families are opening up their home to host a back to school pool party for our girls! Our girls are especially excited for this field trip because this family hosted our Christmas party as well. Having a safe home environment to welcome our girls into has been such a blessing.

If you want to directly contribute to our summer adventures, you can learn more and join the mission here — and don’t worry, our field trips will continue in the fall as well!

Specific Client Wins This Summer

Our girls have accomplished so much this summer and we are so proud of them. This list doesn’t even begin to cover the way we’ve seen God move and impact the lives of our youth.

  • Two of our clients obtained jobs
  • One client obtained her CNA Licensing
  • One client successfully got custody of her two children
  • One client purchased her first car
  • One client moved to a new apartment with her kids
  • One client got her birth certificate
  • One client got engaged

So many of our girls accomplishments are because they’re finally building up the confidence and tools to advocate for themselves. This can take years for some people, but we’re seeing girls find their voices in just months.

Other accomplishments require a little bit of outside support. Let’s look at how your help has allowed us to step in when our girls need it most!

  • Paid $300 for a clients phone bills so she had the tools needed to obtain a social worker
  • One-on-one credit score education for a client seeking help
  • Connecting two clients with trauma-informed job opportunities to being the application process
  • Transporting two clients for court dates, one client for child visitations, and another client to the ER
  • Purchasing groceries and necessities for our two refuge residents this summer
  • Paid for a room for a pregnant client for 3 days
  • Purchased a new car seat for one of the moms in our program
  • Rented a U-Haul to help move our client and her children to her new apartment
